The Gerry Genuino Memorial Garden was installed in front of the district's Transportation Department in April 2021 by Building & Grounds. The district's Transportation Department organized a memorial tribute in honor of Gerry Genuino after the school community, family and friends raised funds for the memorial garden. Gerry sadly passed in April 2020 from COVID-19. He worked as a bus driver for the district for many years (and a few as a custodian) and was adored by students, staff and colleagues.

The mission of the Fair Lawn Board of Education Transportation Department is to provide safe and efficient transportation to the students of Fair Lawn. All students have a right to experience a safe ride to and from school, on a class trip and/ or to a club or sporting event. But the students, parents, faculty and building administrators as well as our drivers and aides also have a responsibility to the safety and efficiency of the ride. Please take the time to review this information with your child and understand the importance of everyone’s role in helping to maintain safety.
